Simon Royle is a British international author whose work spans crime fiction, science fiction, technothrillers and practical non-fiction. Shaped by decades of living and working internationally, particularly across Asia, his writing examines crime, family, technology, power, identity and the consequences of rapid social change. He is the author of the Bangkok Series, The Zumar Chronicles and The GEO Success Series, which explores how businesses can prepare their websites, authority and measurement systems for the age of artificial intelligence and generative search.

Simon Royle is a British international author, technology strategist and specialist in generative engine optimisation. His work crosses crime fiction, science fiction, technothrillers and practical business non-fiction, bringing together a long-standing interest in storytelling with decades of international experience in technology, marketing, management and business development.
Much of Simon’s perspective has been shaped by living and working across Asia. That experience informs the settings, characters and cultural tensions in his fiction, which explores the ways crime, family loyalty, political influence, technology and economic change affect individual lives. His Bangkok Series follows the Paknam family through the intersecting worlds of organised crime, business, politics and street life in modern Thailand. The series includes Bangkok Burn and Bangkok Wet, while Bangkok Heat is in final edits. His speculative novel Tag, the first of The Zumar Chronicles, explores surveillance, identity and the growing power of technology.
Simon’s non-fiction focuses on the practical impact of artificial intelligence and the changing nature of online discovery. The GEO Success Series helps organisations understand how to build AI-ready websites, establish the trust and authority signals that influence machine-generated answers, and measure visibility across generative search platforms. As Chief Architect of GeoAnalyzer Pro, he studies how large language models discover, interpret, cite and recommend businesses and their content.
Alongside his published work, Simon is developing further books about authority, brand signals and AI search, as well as Managing Across Asia: A Practical Guide to Leading, Communicating and Negotiating Across Cultures. Across fiction and non-fiction, his work is united by an interest in how people respond when technology, power and culture collide.
